Director of Writing Strategy and Editor. Kortney holds a BA in International Relations from the University of San Diego, where she pursued a double minor in Spanish and Peacebuilding & Social Innovation, with concentrations in Politics of Race & Ethnicity and Human Rights.

As Senior Writing Strategist, Editor, and Team Lead of English Hudson’s Writing Strategy Department, Kortney develops compelling and competitive proposals that align resources with 501 (c) 3 organizations that are dedicated to enhancing equity in Black and brown communities, and whose leadership and strategies reflect the communities they serve. 

Kortney's commitment to racial equity, food sovereignty, climate justice, human security, and birth justice drives her to leverage her experience and expertise in advocating for collective liberation.  These passions also extend beyond her work at English Hudson. Based in Dallas, TX, Kortney is actively involved in local nonprofits and mutual aid organizations addressing disparities prevalent throughout the greater DFW metroplex.

Outside of her professional and volunteer work, Kortney enjoys reading, discovering new music, horseback riding, bouldering, and international travel.
